Graphic Design
Like many people, my life was turned upside down in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. College classes went online, I moved back home, and suddenly I was giving public speaking presentations over Zoom from my living room couch. It was a strange, challenging time. But it was also a transformative one.
Amid the chaos, I turned to many creative outlets: painting, music, writing, and graphic design — something I enjoyed practicing and learning since high school. What started as designing logos for local businesses like Mayflower Maids and Studio Gig quickly turned into a genuine passion. I also launched my own music podcast, On Loop with Kara, which I fully branded and self-produced from the ground up.
Since then, I have continued to work as a freelance designer, collaborating with small businesses, local musicians, and artists to build digital ad campaigns, develop cohesive visual branding, and create bold, engaging social content. Whether I am reimagining a logo or building out a full visual identity, I love finding ways to make creative visions come to life.
Most recently I founded Fat Dog Jail, a production company that fuses streetwear design with music production. It is a passion project and a creative playground, allowing me to experiment with graphic storytelling and build identities that feel authentic, exciting, and community-driven.
